A short drive from « îlot-Vignes » you can visit the remnants of the Castle Rauzan, comissioned in 1862 by the French as a Historical Monument. In 1942 the film The Ghost was shot by Baron Serge Poligny.
Built by none other than the John Lackland (Duke of Normandy, 1199-1204) ; Duke of Guyenne (1199-1216) ; and King of England from 1199 to 1216 ; this castle was built on a rock occupied since antiquity. A Witness of the Hundred Years War, Castle Razuan was captured twice by the French, including Bertrand Du Guesclin in 1377.
